Answers to Commonly Asked Questions about Our Puppy Announcements

Which puppies are available?
If a puppy has already been reserved by a family who received the Announcement during a previous round of matching due to their earlier deposit date, there will be a purple “reserved” notation next to the puppy name/picture. If a puppy does not have a “reserved” notation, then it is currently still available for you to choose from.

Can I have more information, pictures, or videos of a puppy from this Litter Announcement?
At the time of us sending out the Litter Announcements, we do not have any additional pictures, videos, size, coat type, or personality information other than what is provided on the Litter Link. Once the litter is brought from the breeder’s home, has their final vet check, and is settled in with their Transition Family on the Tuesday of their adoption weekend, we would be happy to ask at that time for more detailed information about the puppy you are matched with.
Do I have to pick up my puppy during the stated weekend?

We are usually able to accommodate up to a one week holdover so you would be able to pick up your puppy the following weekend. However, there is a $200 non-refundable holdover fee that is required before scheduling that one week delay. If you are matched with a puppy, our Scheduling Coordinator will be happy to work out the details of scheduling that delayed pickup time.

If you are interested in more than two weeks, we offer a board and potty training option through Pawsitive Beginnings, our training program. This is a two week board in the home of one of our trainers where your puppy would work on crate and potty training during those two weeks. Board and Potty is a maximum and minimum of 2 weeks and is $500 per week.

We also offer traditional training which would cover crate and potty training plus basic commands (like sit, come, stay, and place.) Your puppy would still live in the home of the trainer. This option is $800 a week.

Any of our boarding or training options cover food, training, boarding, and any updated vaccinations your puppy might have while in our care.

Can you call me to talk about these puppies?
We do apologize, but due to the time constraint, we are not able to return phone calls about the litter during the 24 hour time period after Litter Announcements have been sent. We would be happy to answer your questions via email as quickly as possible.
What happens if I am matched with a puppy from the list that I sent to you and then I need to cancel my reservation?

In making your decision of whether to submit puppy names to us from this litter, please remember our cancellation policy (https://stagingweb.crockettdoodles.com/pricing/).

Once you have chosen to reserve a puppy for adoption, your $300 deposit is no longer refundable. It will be applied to the balance of your reserved puppy on Adoption Day. If your plans suddenly change, we certainly understand and you are of course able to back-out of purchasing your puppy before Adoption Day, but your $300 deposit for this puppy will not be refundable. If you would like to reserve a different puppy in the future, you are welcome to place a new deposit for that new puppy.

If you are not available during the stated Adoption Weekend to pick up your puppy or are not planning to use our Delivery or Training services, please do not submit names from this litter to adopt. We want the timing to work best for you and want our puppies to find their Forever Homes as quickly as possible.

How much is delivery to my home?

Here is a link to our webpage that explains our delivery service and the associated prices for your region: https://stagingweb.crockettdoodles.com/delivery-pickup.

If my puppy has a health issue at their final vet check, will I be reimbursed for travel expenses?

Since we’re committed to providing a healthy puppy for our adoptive families, we defer to our vet’s recommendations for each pup individually. If a pup weighs in at its final vet-check at 4 pounds or less, our vet may recommend that we hold that pup another week at its home so that it can gain a few more ounces before traveling. This means that if you are matched to a pup from a litter that our vet recommends we hold an extra week, you will be notified right away after the pup’s final vet check. Vet checks are completed by Tuesday evening before the scheduled Adoption Weekend. If you are traveling to pick up your puppy, please purchase travel insurance in case changes need to be made to your plans due to the vet’s recommendations for your pup.

Can I wait and choose a puppy from a different litter when the timing is better for me?
Yes! We want you to adopt a puppy when the timing is best for you. You are welcome to let us know that you are going to wait for a different litter, but you are not required to let us know. If we do not hear a reply from you, we will assume that you are choosing to pass and wait for a different litter. Since our waitlist is determined by deposit date, you are not penalized when you “pass” on a litter.
